Wind or tide walks a tinnie off the centre rollers. This Load Ya Boat wing catches the hull and guides the keel back onto the centre roller while you winch, so you are not standing in the water pushing the bow straight.

It is the Wind Ya Boat setup: one galvanised winged bracket with stainless rivets, a 700 mm arm and a 6 inch roller. Two adjustable legs, with bolts and lock nuts, set the height and the angle so the wing sits just under the hull. It suits 19 mm double-stem roller brackets. Stated fit is aluminium boats to 5 m (16.5 ft).

In the box

1 x Load Ya Boat winged bracket, galvanised, stainless rivets

700 mm arm span and 6 inch roller

2 x adjustable legs, bolts and lock nuts

Guide skids for the wing

Suits 19 mm brackets

Not in this kit: 50 x 50 mm tube sliders, a second wing, a clamp-on adjuster, or the maker’s Teflon-lined aluminium skids. Tyres in the driveway, or the ramp car park if you can get it back on. Free the old roller bracket with penetrant first. Hammer only if it is seized, grinder if the bolts will not move. Sit the wing arms in the 19 mm adjusters. Boat back on. Set the height to the existing rollers, grease the threads, then lock the second nut. If you are fitting skids, let them stick out past the rear of the trailer so they catch a boat that comes in offline. About an hour with a shifter and a socket set.

A self centering keel roller is one grooved wheel. It helps after the keel has already found it. This kit is the guide in front of that roller. Use both if the centre roller is flat-spotted.
