40mm Coex Gunwale Rubber | White Black Strip

40mm coex gunwale rubber, white with a black strip, sold per metre. Also searched as gunnel rubber and gunwale boat trim. A push-on PVC fender for a 40 mm gunwale lip on a tinny, runabout or production hull. Quantity 10 is one continuous 10 metre length, not ten short pieces.

White body, black wear stripe on the face. Internal teeth bite the lip. Part 4679. The grip, dimension C, is 10 mm. Check that against the edge before you order a long run. A full run is cheaper as the 15 metre coil, $360 against $435 if you buy the same length by the metre.

Leave the coil in the sun until it softens. Bed it on marine sealant, push it on, and leave it 24 to 48 hours before the boat goes in. Do not stretch cold rubber around a corner. Measure the gunwale and add a little for the join.

Finish the ends with white end caps. A corner needs the white corner caps. Black end caps are the pair if the join is against black rubber.
