Self Centering Boat Trailer V Kit | 300mm Skids, 50x50

A self centering boat trailer V kit for the retrieve. Two short skids sit either side of the keel and walk the hull onto the centre rollers when wind or tide pushes the boat offline. This pair clamps to 50 x 50 mm box with hot-dip tube sliders, so you are not welding a bracket on.

Sold as a left and right pair. Skids are UV-stable blue ribbed plastic, 300 mm long, and are not pre-drilled, so the hole lands on your hull. Yokes are 8 inch, galvanised, with a 19 mm shaft. Sliders suit 2 x 2 inch square tube only.

Not in this kit: a centre roller, a Load Ya Boat wing, or sliders for 75 mm tube. Telwater frames are often 75 x 75 mm. Measure the cross tube before you order. A longer guide is the 700 mm winged roller kit ($230). Box tube with no 19 mm stem and a wing is the 2x2 slider kit ($270).

Fit

• One pair at the rear is the usual start. A second pair further up the trailer suits a drive-on.
• Mount rear, middle or front. The sliders clamp to the cross tube.
• Drill the skid once the height is set. Do not drill before the boat is on the trailer.
• Centre keel roller is separate. Add an 8 inch self centering roller if the middle roller is flat-spotted.

COmpetitor kits are the same job at 400–500 mm and a higher price. This one is the 300 mm pair with the 50 x 50 mm sliders already in the box.
